1. Who this applies to

This covers businesses who create an account, property owners/couples whose job or event is listed, and visitors who scan a sign or search without an account.

2. What we collect

Businesses: name, email, phone, business name, category, bio, availability, service area, skills/services offered, business type, VAT status, payment details (handled directly by Stripe — we never store card details), a Companies House number if you request verification, uploaded photos.

Property owners / couples: name and email, collected with explicit consent when a job is created, used to send a review request and confirmation, and to keep a record that you agreed to a sign being placed. Your full address is never displayed publicly — only shown to someone who has physically scanned the sign at the property.

Anyone sending a quote request or contact message: your email and message, forwarded to the relevant business (or to us, for a general contact message) so they can reply directly to you.

Anyone requesting a physical sign: a name and postal address, used only to arrange sending the board — kept separately from your other account data and never displayed publicly.

Visitors: standard technical data via normal server logs. No advertising tracking cookies.

3. Why we process this data

Contract (providing the Service to businesses), consent (for property owners/couples, and for anyone sending a quote request, contact message, or physical sign request — withdrawable at any time by contacting us), and legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention).

4. Who we share data with

Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and our email delivery service. We never sell personal data or share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep data

Business and job data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period for legal/accounting purposes. Property owner/couple contact details, quote/contact messages, and physical sign requests are kept only as long as needed and never displayed publicly. You can request earlier deletion.

6. Address privacy

Full property addresses are never shown in search results, never indexed by search engines, and only revealed to someone who scans the physical sign at the property.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact info@heyfindus.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only, to keep you logged in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service isn’t directed at anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a notice on the Service.
