Terms of Service

1. What the Service is

Hey Find Us lets a business (“Host”) create a free page for a completed job — a building project, wedding, garden, or similar — with a QR code and searchable listing linking to that page. Other businesses (“Joiners”) who also worked on the same job can pay to be added to the same page. Property owners and event hosts may leave reviews tied to a specific, verified job. Visitors can also send a quote request directly to any business shown on a job page or profile page.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or over and provide accurate information when creating an account. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure. One business per account.

3. Pricing

Starting a job is free, always. Joining an existing job costs £16.99, paid once, per job. Making your profile visible and searchable costs £12.99 per month, cancel anytime. From time to time we may offer a discount code that reduces either price — any discount only applies while a valid code is entered at checkout. Prices may change with advance notice to existing subscribers. All payments are processed by Stripe.

4. Refunds

The one-off join fee is non-refundable once approved onto a job page. If your request is declined, you’re refunded automatically. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime; no partial refunds for the current billing period.

5. Property owner / event host consent

Anyone starting a job must confirm they have the property owner’s or event host’s permission before a sign is created. False declarations of consent are a breach of these terms.

6. Verification

Verified badges reflect a check of the Companies House register at the time of approval only — not an ongoing guarantee of compliance, quality of work, or fitness for any particular job.

7. Reviews

Reviews may only be left by the property owner or event host associated with a specific job, for businesses confirmed as having worked on it. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. If a reviewer needs to correct a genuine mistake in a review they left, they should contact us — we don’t offer a self-service way to edit a review, to keep every review’s history reliable.

8. Content and photos

You retain ownership of any photos you upload, but grant us a licence to display them as part of a job page or your profile. You confirm you have the right to upload any photo you post.

9. Quote requests

Anyone can send a message to a business through a job page or profile page asking for a quote. We forward this by email; we’re not a party to any quote, contract, or work that follows from it, and we don’t guarantee a business will respond.

10. Prohibited use

You must not create a job or claim to have worked on one you weren’t genuinely involved in, impersonate another business or person, attempt to manipulate reviews or verification, or use the Service unlawfully.

11. Disputes and job locks

If a genuine dispute is raised about a job — for example a request to remove a sign, or a claim that a business listed on it wasn’t actually involved — we may temporarily lock that job page while we look into it. A locked job stays visible but stops accepting new join requests or reviews until the dispute is resolved. We aim to resolve disputes promptly and fairly, but our decision on a locked job is final.

12. Physical signs

You can request a physical board for a job instead of printing your own. This is a manual, best-effort service — we don’t guarantee a delivery date, and providing a postal address for this purpose is optional and separate from anything else the Service collects.

13. Our role

Hey Find Us is a noticeboard and directory service. We don’t vet the quality of work performed, and we’re not a party to any contract between a Host, Joiner, property owner, or customer. Any dispute about workmanship is between the relevant parties, not with us.

14. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. You may close your account at any time.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
